| Here are some photos of Elle Fanning, Dakota's younger sister. I don't know why, but Dakota Fanning just annoys me sometimes. On the other hand, I have this weird obsession over Elle, who is not only beautiful but also extremely upbeat and she seems to have a giddy, childish personality...Although, she is 13. It is also no question why practically everybody who is somebody shares a similar obsession. Elle has been featured in many magazines including W, Marie Claire and Teen Vogue. After interviewing her, even the always cynical Tavi Gevinson of Rookie said "Her enthusiasm for art and film and fun turned out to be infectious."...So, the only question needing to be asked is: Who doesn't love Elle? |

My favorite article about her, which is where I got my title from and several pictures from, is the July 2011 Marie Claire spread. I love all the clothing, styling and photography. But, there are many people who object to how mature some of her photos/outfits are. Not just in this particular spread, but in general. I see what they are talking about, but really, it's not nearly as bad as what I see at my school or at the mall. Elle is an actress, a couture-wearing, Oscar-attending actress. Do people want her to wear a rainbow-patterned onesie when she attends red carpet events? How about two high pigtails and some sticker earrings? What she lacks in childish appearance she makes up for in bubbly character. In my opinion, not only is she not too grownup, but she is also a major fashion idol.
This is the Elle Époque! Embrace it, young padawan.
